DanceOne Media App Guide for Competition Dance Moms - Dance Mom Central

Competition season is officially here! 🎉

If you’re heading to a DanceOne competition this year, here’s something important — especially if you normally use DanceBug to check live schedules and download your dancer’s media.

If you can’t find the event on DanceBug, don’t panic. For DanceOne events, everything lives inside the DanceOne Media app.

Ask me how I figured that out. 😅

I recently went searching for information for an upcoming NexStar competition and couldn’t figure out why it wasn’t showing up on DanceBug. After reading through the NexStar rules, I saw a mention of DanceOne Media — which led me straight to the App Store.

That’s when I realized:

👉 DanceOne competitions use the DanceOne Media app — not DanceBug.

If you’re searching for the NexStar competition on DanceBug and can’t find it, here’s why.

What Can You Access in the DanceOne Media App?

The DanceOne Media app is the platform used by DanceOne competitions to provide event information and dancer media.

In the App, You Can View:

  • Live event details and schedules

  • Access to photos and videos

When Logging in on Desktop, You Can View:

  • Access to photos and videos

  • Shared Media (like judges’ critiques, if your studio shares them)

Both the app and desktop version are important, depending on what you’re looking for during and after the event.

If your dancer is attending a DanceOne competition, this is the platform you’ll want set up ahead of time.

*Note you can also obtain the shared media & my media on DanceBug as well…..

What You Need to Do Before Competition Weekend

If your dancer is attending a DanceOne event:

  1. Download the DanceOne Media app (available in the Apple App Store).

  2. Log in using the same email and password you use for DanceBug.

Yes — same login. No need to create a new account. 🙌

Pro Tip:
Before competition weekend:

  • Make sure you’re logged in.

  • Reset your password if needed.

What Is the DanceOne Media Season Pass?

If this is your first DanceOne event, here’s another important detail:

DanceOne requires a Media Season Pass.

DanceOne Media Season Pass

This is a required one-time fee per dancer, per season. Includes unlimited photos and videos at all DanceOne competitions, conventions, and special events.

Once you purchase the Season Pass for your dancer, you won’t need to pay again for additional DanceOne events that season. Note, if you are part of a studio this fee is likely included in your competition fees.

Where to Find Judges’ Critiques

If your studio shares judges’ critiques, you may be wondering where to look.

You can find critiques under:

“Shared Media.”

This section may appear in:

  • The DanceOne Media desktop (I couldn’t locate on the app)

  • Or inside DanceBug

What Competitions Are Part of DanceOne?

DanceOne competitions include:

  • Imagine

  • JUMP

  • NUVO

  • 24 SEVEN

  • KAOS

  • Radix

  • Ovation

  • DreamMaker

  • Starpower

  • Revolution

  • NexStar

  • Believe

If you’re attending any of these this season, download the app now and avoid the last-minute scramble.

I hope this was helpful — and feel free to share it with another dance mom who might need it!
